Here are a few helpful tips to help you maximize your use of our class Fusion page:
1. Before you start your language arts homework, review what I have posted.
2. Check that you have all of the materials and resources you need to complete the homework, and download anything you might be missing from the Handouts section.
3. When you are absent from class, click on the following link to access my daily lesson plans to find out what you missed:áhttps://planbook.com/planbook.html?t=1178253&k=7bluela.
4. Check the weekly extra help hours at the beginning of the week.
5. Read through the posted announcements at least once a week and after I've announced them in class.
6. When you have some extra time, check out the links that I have posted, and definitely after I've shared a link with you in class.

Here's one more reminder that will help you immensely: Remember that to access Google Classroom and your Tenafly Google Drive, you must log into Google Chrome using your Tenafly email address!

I wish you all a successful year!

Announcements/Weekly Extra Help Hours
Extra Credit Opportunities for Marking Period 3:
The extra credit opportunities for Marking Period 3 have been posted in the Extra Credit Opportunities folder. They are due by Monday, 4/3.

Please read all instructions carefully. You are encouraged to come to extra help with your questions and also to review your work with me to make sure your project follows all of the guidelines so you'll receive your extra credit point.

EXTRA HELP FOR THE WEEK OF 3/20:
Monday - AM
Tuesday - PM
Wednesday - AM & PM
Thursday - PM
Friday - PM

Golden Ratio/Language Arts Extra Credit Opportunity:
You worked with your "team" of "paleontologists" to construct the skeleton using the "tibia bone" you "found" on your dig in Indonesia. But who was this person when he or she was alive? For this language arts extra credit opportunity, you will develop this skeleton's character and tell his or her life story.

The story must be typed in a Google Doc and shared by Friday, March 24. Use what you know about developing realistic, multi-dimensional characters from our study of The Outsiders and your IR. Use what you already know about how to tell a compelling story to draft, revise, and edit this one.

The final draft must be a minimum of 2 pages double spaced. It must include the proper heading (Assignment Name: Golden Ratio Skeleton Story) and an original title. You are expected to take the time to revise and edit your work, and it is highly recommended that you come during extra help hours to have a conference about your writing before you turn in your final draft.

You will earn one bonus point added onto your Marking Period 3 average for completing this extra credit opportunity!

Have fun! I can't wait to read your skeleton's story!
